Posted by: darnellhamza in Mobile Projector Articles, tags: Pocket, Processors, Review, Verizon, XV6700After the fall of 2005, Verizon has an impressive number of celebrities such as PDA phones with some serious expansion of its 3G network, EVDO high-speed added to the end. The Starcom XV6700, published in January 2006, shortly after the Windows Mobile Treo 700w.
The XV6700 is alittle bit 'bigger than the Treo, but it certainly has a big advantage of a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. For most users, PDA, a full QWERTY keyboard is an important and attractiveConsumers.
Personally, I had the XV6700 for about a year. I take the time to the pros and cons, which I discuss in person to meet with the XV6700. The XV6700 is definitely a phone and can sometimes be difficult to fit in your pocket, but still cases, you can buy the clips that were in them, strap on your page.
A few drawbacks are the size of the XV6700, the phone, and other issues Smalls. Like I said,PDA alittle bit 'bigger then most other PDAs, but certainly its course on a full QWERTY keyboard. It seems to me that I should atleast twice a day to return the device and configure the pen once a month or so. Features of the XV6700 phone itself is terrible. If you have a PDA that uses a lot to talk on the phone like, I do not recommend this phone to everyone. You can about 2-3 hours of talk time on the phone, the batteryDead. The XV6700 also has very poor audio output for voice calls. You can turn the volume all the way up and still hardly hear the person on the other line.
I also used this phone with a Microsoft Exchange Server automaticlly download my e-mail and others. It 'been a great feature, but if you're like me and want to receive e-mails on her cell phone as soon as it gets, then set the transmit / receive switch will get approximately 5 minutes. Well, this makes the UnfortunetlyTelephone losing battery life after about 6 hours.
If you use this phone TXT message, the phone for you! This is the best I have ever phone to txt message. It is so comfortable, with a full QWERTY keyboard, and I can quickly type a txt. If you are thinking of buying this phone I recommend upgrading to the long battery life and access to your phone via broadband. This phone is designed for the data network (3G EVDO)For this purpose, and that is why I always recommend for this phone, so you can enjoy its features.
My conclusion is, this phone has its flaws like any other quarks and phone, but it's really all about preference and what you plan to use. The only thing I can not say enough, if you want to use it as a phone much, I would not buy. Talk time on this phone is horrible. The XV6700 for txting and internet greatAccess to the road.
